Oregon Coast Sunset Elopement

If you’ve ever visited the Oregon Coast, you know how spectacular the “beach” can be in the summer. It can be freezing cold and windy, but the sunset can make it look like the warmest, most tropical and inviting place. Such was the case during this elopement shoot in late August. The sun shone brilliantly, giving us it’s signature dazzling colors that evening, but the wind told a different story and left us wishing for campfires and jackets!

Asia and Demetrius really powered through the cold wind so that we could create some magic, and man does it show! With the beautiful sunset accent colors in the florals, vases, stationary and Asia’s makeup, this entire elopement basically WAS a sunset. Each piece of this day was thoughtfully sourced and curated to bring this vividly colorful boho elopement to life. It’s also proof that you don’t have to spend big bucks on your elopement! AND you can have decorations if you want them!

There seems to be misconception that when you are eloping, you’re going to get married with the bare minimum. If that’ what you want then totally go for it, minimalism all the way. But don’t limit yourself into thinking that elopements have rules, because they absolutely do not. Your elopement day is your wedding day, so make it exactly what you want it to be! You can go to a pub after and get beers, or have a picnic in the park, or decorate a spot for your ceremony with your favorite things.

There are so many ways you can personalize your elopement day so that it rings true to you and your partner’s personalities and style. So find yourself a kickass planner or do it DIY style.
