Rainy Salem, OR Summer Elopement
Jessica and Sean, like many others this year, had to drastically change their wedding celebration due to COVID-19. Their vision went from a late fall candle lit ceremony with 100 or so of their friends and family to a June elopement, weather be damned. (It’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day anyway and also a reminder to always have a clear umbrella on hand as a photographer. ;)
They rented out the cutest little AirBnb situated on a small vineyard, set up a Facebook livestream for their friends and family to follow, and basically told COVID to screw it and got married anyway!
Jessica’s dad walked her down the pavement “aisle” and officiated her and Sean’s ceremony, where they recited the vows they had written for one another that had me in tears the entire ceremony. Despite the hardships and last minute alterations and decisions, their elopement was a dream from start to finish. With their closest friends and family watching digitally and in person, the two of them committed to each other in the most beautiful way.
Jessica and Sean are both extremely creative and artistic minded people; Sean is a musician and Jessica is a photographer herself, so being chosen by them to document their wedding day was BEYOND special to me and I am forever grateful they stuck with me even through the chaos of 2020.
Congratulations to the new Leonard’s! May love, light, and happiness follow you wherever you go.
