Harry Potter-Themed Fall Oregon Wedding

I have three words for you. Harry. Potter. Wedding. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a wedding as when I heard Alicia say those words. We had just begun discussing their engagement photos (they even brought their personalized wands to their engagement session, which was the coolest accessory ever) and their wedding day when she brought up the theme, and let me tell you I pretty much went to heaven right then.

If you don’t know, I’m a huge nerd and grew up reading and watching Harry Potter so to have a couple do a Harry Potter themed wedding was a dream come true. It was also perfect for fall. Whenever I think of Harry Potter I usually think of the opening time period of each movie where they are returning to school amid feasts and pumpkins and witch hats and candles. So when Alicia and John planned an October wedding, I knew it was going to be perfection.

Alicia and John had been together for years prior to tying the knot, and you could feel it in the way they interacted with each other. Everything just felt so easy with them and they made each other laugh effortlessly. Love like that is so beautiful, and it made their wedding day even more so. Just by being around them you could tell that they knew each other backwards and forwards, and it was so special to be able to witness that leading up to and on their wedding day.

When October 3rd rolled around, it was a beautiful sunny day with bright blue sky. Everything from the walking down the aisle to music from the Harry Potter soundtrack to the bubble guns they had exiting their ceremony after becoming husband and wife, the whole day was a monument to their love story and personalities. Every detail of their day was laid out meticulously and with their closest friends and family by their side, they were able to have the wedding of their dreams.
